How long does the domain provider change take?
A provider change to world4you can be ordered with a few clicks. You must make sure that you are the owner of the domain you want to change. You prove this by entering the authorization code that you receive from your previous provider. The duration of the process depends on the type of top-level domain you are moving. Usually, the providerswitch is completed within 14 days.
Can I transfer my existing webspace to a new domain?
Yes, you can perform a transfer at any time.
If you want to proceed with the transfer, order the new domain as a "DomainOnly" on my.world4you.com under Shop > Domains. After that, the transfer can be performed under Package > Domains > Domain Exchange.
Please note that there may be a downtime of up to 12 hours for your website after the domain transfer for newly registered domains. Afterward, your website will be accessible under the new domain as usual.

Can I rename my domain name?
No, that is not possible. At the time of your order, we submit your information along with the corresponding invoice amount to the relevant registry, which assigns your personal domain for one year. For this reason, a registered domain cannot simply be renamed afterward.

I already own a domain. How can I register a web hosting package with this domain?
If you already own a domain with another provider, you can use it in combination with a web hosting package at world4you. To do this, enter your existing domain name in the domain checker and then select the option "Taken – Transfer". If you don't want to change providers, you will receive the necessary DNS data from world4you.
How can I change the name/URL of my WordPress website?
Access your WordPress website and add /wp-admin/ at the end. Log in, and then go to the Settings category in the left column.
If you want to change the name of your WordPress website, enter it under “Site Title.”
If you also want to change the URL, enter it in the fields “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL).” Scroll down to the bottom and confirm the changes by clicking on "Save Changes." This will change the name and/or URL of your WordPress website.
Now visit your WordPress website and check for correct display. If you are using plugins, it may also be necessary to update the changes within them.
